Strawberry Cobbler

Ingredients


Butter (melted) - 1 cup

Self rising flour - 2 cups

(to make self rising flour at home, whisk 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt to each cup of all purpose flour)

Powdered sugar - 1 to 1 1/2 cups

Milk - 1 1/2 cups

Strawberries (cut in quarters) - 4 cups

Water - 1 cup


Method


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. Pour the melted butter into a baking dish

  3. In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of sugar, flour and milk. Pour evenly over the butter.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the strawberries, remaining sugar and water. (adjust the sugar depending on the sweetness of the strawberries). Spoon evenly over the flour and milk layer. Do not stir.

  5. Bake till it turns golden.
